Minimum Information
This site only collects the minimum information that is reasonably necessary for
the day-to-day operations of a dating site. This information includes: your email address, your IP address, your nickname,
your year of birth, gender, and optional information about yourself, which you yourself complete in your profile, such as your level of education or marital status.
Should you become a full member of this site, and make a payment to purchase a paid membership, we will not permanently store any financial or banking information regarding yourself,
except for the amount and date of any payment you may make. As soon as the transaction is completed, any
banking or credit card details will be deleted. We will not retain your banking or card details in order to process future transactions.
We do not store your location or physical address. You
are hereby notified that this site uses cookies to maintain your sessions while you are using the site. Cookies are small packages of information that allows our site to
maintain your login to the site. However, cookies from this site are only limited to this site, and will not be shared with third-party companies.
Purpose
Your personal information is retained for the purposes of ordinary dating site operations, e.g.
for showing your anonymous profile to potential dating site partners, and will be
searchable when other members search for potential partners. No contact information that can be used to
contact you directly, will be displayed to the public. However, please note that, due to their very nature, dating sites
do display information, such as your age and photo, to other members, to make it possible for other members to determine whether you are a suitable partner. Because of the public nature of any dating site, you are hereby advised that your information may appear in third-party search engines. You are advised that all profile information and messages that you create, are stored in a relational database.
Secondary Usage
Your personal information will be safely stored by the site's database and will not be on-sold or provided to any third party, or utilized for any other purpose, except for the normal operations of the dating site. The only circumstances in which we will provide your information to any third party, would be if we are compelled to do so by a court order or to cooperate with the relevant law enforcement authorities. We may, however, use your profile, messages you send or messages sent to you, for site administration purposes, such as to do checks on your profile.
Content Review and Moderation
As is common practice on all social media sites, we, our Agents and our staff reserve the right to review, save, copy, moderate and modify all and any content and messages that our members may create or post, without notice thereof to yourself. This may be for any reason we see fit (excluding the provision of the data to third parties), but including for legal reasons (e.g. when a member is accused of improper conduct), to remove racist, unwanted or insulting content, or for quality reasons (for example to rotate photographs which are upside-down). You are advised that all content you may create, including your profile and all messages you may send and receive, may be reviewed, altered, modified or deleted for this purpose, without notice thereof to yourself.
Information Quality
Subject to the anonymous nature of dating sites, this site will endeavour to retain quality and accurate information about its members.
Immediately upon registration, we send a confirmation email to ensure that the person who registers a profile, is the owner of the email address. You are however advised that, except for sending a verification email, the site has no other way of verifying who actually created the profile and will be unable to provide any further information regarding when a particular profile was created, except for the date on which it was created.
We will also for example check the photos that users upload, to ensure, as far as is possible, that the photos are of the members. In cases where we
are informed of people whose profile information or photos are fake, we ban these members from the site immediately and remove the fake information.In
cases where we suspect a profile is fake, we, in accordance with our Terms of
Use, may, at our sole discretion, request proof of identity, to protect the
other users of our site.
Removal
When you remove or deactivate your profile, we will retain your profile for a period of 90 (ninety) days from the date of removal. This is to provide for instances where a member may be involved in a dispute or for other legal purposes. During these 90 days, your profile will not be visible to any other members of the site
and they will not be able to contact you or view your profile, messages you have previously sent or your profile photographs. After the period of 90 days has expired, your profile, messages and images will be permanently and irrevocably deleted.
Messages
The site will retain messages that you send or receive from other members on the site, for a period of 60 (sixty) days from the date of the message being sent. After this period, the messages will be permanently deleted. Please note that this does not apply to email messages and notifications that the site may send you, which are deleted within a period of seven (7) days from the date of the notification email or SMS
being sent to you.
Security
This site will take
the necessary, industry-standard security measures to safeguard all personal information, for example by using passwords and digital certificates.
Your data will be stored on a secure server, in a password protected database. All
reasonable measures will be taken by us and our hosting service provider to
prevent the site from suffering intrusions and cyber attacks, including
firewalls, antivirus software and other security measures.
